ABOUT US
GNL Italia is the Snam company which owns and manages the LNG (liquefied natural gas) regasification plant at Panigaglia (La Spezia). The company was founded in July 2001 in order to receive under conferral, detain and manage the activities carried out by Snam Rete Gas S.p.A. in the regasification of LNG.
This operation created a centre of excellence in the liquefied natural gas industry.

Our commitmentLNG
LNG is natural gas brought to a temperature of -162°. The liquid state enables the transport of
gas with methane ships and its import from producing countries which are not connected via
pipeline.
The plant
The Lng plant in Panigaglia has been working since 1971. It the first plant for reception and re-gasification of liquefied natural gas built in Italy.

Since its founding, Gnl Italia has put great attention into the proper integration of the plant
in the surrounding landscape, safeguarding environment and preserving the safety of the community
it operates in.
