In July 2008 GNL Italia adopted the Eni Code of Ethics which sets out clearly the values and the responsibilities that GNL Italia recognises, accepts, shares and undertakes in its relations both inside and outside the company.
The purpose of the Code is to ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with the law, in a climate of fair competition, with honesty, integrity, correctness and in good faith and with due regard to the legitimate interests of customers, employees, shareholders, commercial and financial partners and the communities in which the company operates. All GNL Italia employees, without any distinction or exception, are committed to complying and ensuring compliance with these principles and with the contents of the Code in the fulfilment of their duties and responsibilities, in acknowledgment of the fact that observance of the Code constitutes an essential part of the quality of their work and professional performance.
Under no circumstance can the conviction of acting for the benefit of the company justify any form of behaviour that contrasts with these principles.
The Supervisory Department has been appointed as the Guarantor of the Ethics Code.

The Supervisory Department may be presented with:
requests for clarification or for interpretation of the contents of the Code;
suggestions regarding the application of the Code;
notifications of violations of the Code, whether anonymously or by name.
