The environmental and safety system and ISO
14001 certification
The plant maintains an integrated management
system for environment/safety SGAS (Environmental Safety and Management
System). For the environmental part, the plant obtained the
certification compliant with the requisites of the UNI EN ISO 14001
standard on 13 October 2000. The certifying body, Det Norske Veritas,
confirmed this environmental certification by means of inspection visits
in July 2001 and April 2002. In February 2002, an inspection carried out
by the competent authorities checked the compliance of the system with
the matters anticipated by legislation for the part relating to safety.
